[Remote] Network Engineer (100% Remote contract- Cisco route/switch, Python)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team. This engineer will have a strong routing/switching background as well as hands-on network automation and scripting experience to support large scale networks across an enterprise organization.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and configuring routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
• Utilizing Cisco Equipment for routing/switching and troubleshooting
• Experience with firewall rules and policies, maintenance troubleshooting
• Utilizing Python for network automation and process automation
• Using virtualized network infrastructure across multiple platforms like Cisco OS and Juniper

Skills

• Strong routing protocol knowledge and experience- configuring BGP, OSPF, etc
• Cisco route, switch, and configuration experience
• Experience using Python or another scripting language for network automation
• Significant network troubleshooting background across large scale networks
• Experience communicating cross functionally with various teams and business units
• Ability to work a long-term contract on a remote basis
