The role involves driving sales performance, providing leadership to Automation Solutions Consultants, and developing business objectives for major accounts.
Responsibilities
- Drive performance of assigned Automation Solutions Consultants to sales goals
- Support, drive and develop business objectives at major accounts for assigned Automation Solutions Consultants
- Providing leadership and guidance to the Automation Solutions Consultants on execution of account plans and sales objectives
- Responsible for the development of the Automation Solutions Consultants technical and commercial skills
- Accountable as primary escalation resource for the Automation Solutions Consultants to Customer Care, Supply Chain, Marketing, etc
- Maintain relations with their local channel partners
- Understanding the balance of top line sales and profitability, utilize market knowledge to help make business decisions
- Establish a sales plan that will meet and exceed organizational goals and objectives
- Provide direction and guidance on pricing and operational considerations
- Drives compliance in the use of business systems and processes; including CRM, ect
- Contributor for talent acquisition- involved in the hiring plan and decisions
- Required to travel with Automation Solutions Consultants for the purpose of developing and monitoring sales performance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, Sales or similar field or sufficient experience that contributes to the role
- At least 5-7 years in a sales capacity within Automation
- Sales experience with some or all of the following products: Machine Vision Systems, Motion Control (Servos, Drives, Controllers and Motors), PLC/HMI (hardware, software and interfaces), Components (Sensors, Relays and Switches), Safety (Light Curtains, Controllers, Sensors and E-Stops) and Auto ID (Barcode and RFID) within Automation
- Ability to lead, mentor and develop a sales team
- Ability to drive successful customer engagements
- Energetic, aggressive and focused
- Strong relationship builder and a strong personal desire to win
- Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally
- Good organization skills
- Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning, and communication skills
- Ability to build trusting relationships and networks while driving successful customer engagements
- Physical ability to talk, hear at normal speaking levels, sit and use hands and fingers to type, handle or feel, including repetitive motions with the wrists, hands and fingers
- Ability to perform activities that include extended periods of sitting, standing and walking
- Ability to travel to visit customers, which may require continued walking, up to a mile in distance at a time
- Ability to work both indoors in a traditional office setting and outdoors traveling to and from customer accounts and sales offices
- Willingness to travel 50%
