Responsibilities
• Manage single-plaintiff FEHA cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal briefs
• Conduct thorough legal research and produce high-quality written deliverables
• Represent the law firm’s clients primarily in state court, with some federal court involvement
• Address occasional wage and hour issues related to FEHA cases
• Communicate effectively with the law firm’s clients and opposing counsel to resolve disputes
• Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and court appearances
Skills
• Candidate must reside and have passed the CA Bar to be considered
• Active California Bar license required
• Experience in employment litigation, with a focus on FEHA cases
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong academic credentials
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining collaboration with the law firm's team
• Familiarity with federal employment laws is advantageous but not required
