Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PACS is a rapidly growing healthcare organization seeking a Junior Accountant to provide hands-on experience in corporate accounting. The role involves preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting in financial reporting, with a clear path toward promotion to Staff Accountant.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations and analyze balance sheet accounts
- Assist in month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare schedules supporting financial statements
- Analyze revenue, expenses, payroll, and other financial information
- Identify discrepancies and recommend appropriate corrections
- Develop a strong understanding of accounting systems and financial reporting processes
- Work with large datasets using Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Participate in internal and external audit support
- Collaborate with accounting team members across multiple departments
- Continuously improve accounting knowledge and technical skills
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned
Skills
- Recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field, or expected to graduate within six months
- Curious and eager to learn
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Analytical and enjoy solving problems
- Comfortable working with numbers and large amounts of financial data
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Able to communicate professionally with teammates and business partners
- Excited to build a long-term career in accounting
- Internship or prior accounting experience preferred but not required
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Exposure to ERP or accounting software is a plus
