Responsibilities
- Handle assignments with minimal supervision
- Brief and argue motions
- Take and defend depositions
- Lead written discovery efforts
- Handle appearances at hearings, depositions, and trials
Skills
- At least three years' and up to seven years' experience in healthcare and professional liability litigation
- Excellent litigation, writing, and persuasive speaking skills
- Strong academic background
- Proven skills in research
- Self-starter who is able to handle assignments with minimal supervision
- Experience briefing and arguing motions
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Experience leading written discovery efforts
- Licensed and admitted to practice in North Carolina or California
- Trial experience
