Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tailwind is a SaaS marketing platform that empowers sellers, creators, and small business owners to grow their businesses online. They are seeking a Head of Marketing to develop and execute a growth strategy while leveraging AI capabilities to enhance marketing effectiveness and drive sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute and iterate on a marketing strategy that drives near-term results while building toward long-term sustainability and success
- Establish repeatable, scalable approaches to customer acquisition that complement one another to drive greater outcomes
- Build competitive advantage with how we acquire and leverage data to achieve outsized results. Accurately incorporate new insights into our work. Iterate rapidly
- Marshall our limited time and capital toward the most promising opportunities in front of us at any point in time. Ensure clarity across the entire team on what we are - and are not - investing in at any point in time, and why
- Given our lean team, this will be a player-coach role for the foreseeable future. You will own day to day execution for specific channels/strategies where you are strongest
- Enforce high quality standards, even as we experiment with emerging techniques. Ensure we are delivering intentional, effective messages to the market. Evolve our brand voice to better educate, convince and convert our audience
- Work with our Product and Engineering teams to bring our lessons learned to customers through our offerings. Uncover new opportunities through market engagement and research
- Guide our teammates and help them grow. Leverage outside partners where impactful. Encourage a culture where we try new things, learn from what happens, and strive for excellence
Skills
- Passion for the field of marketing and helping small businesses succeed
- Significant success in product-led software marketing, with a clear history of being able to drive highly efficient growth. A big plus for experience with low-ticket B2B SaaS
- Expertise in one or more digital marketing channels - and strong proficiency in others
- Strength in strategic communications. You're seasoned in developing themes and messaging that drive our objectives forward - as well as avoiding potholes along the way
- Experience with owning growth strategy, from leading discovery, definition and prioritization of focus areas, to effective communication of priorities, and managing a team to execute the plan efficiently and effectively
- High comfort level with the more technical aspects of modern-marketing, including but not limited to topics such as tracking and attribution, leveraging data at scale to drive improved performance, integrating disparate tools, executing growth experiments, development of landing pages and funnel optimization
- Learned experience iterating through the automation of marketing processes with A.I. over an extended period of time. Be able to speak to how you improved results while ensuring quality experiences, and how you have navigated ethical considerations
