In the newly created role as the Head of Marketing, you will shape the global brand, establish modern marketing operational systems, and build a world-class marketing team while driving market penetration and supporting enterprise growth strategies.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a comprehensive marketing vision that aligns with SLS Consultants growth objectives, translating high-level business goals into practical, high-impact tactical initiatives
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, partnering closely with the executive team to drive market penetration and support enterprise growth strategies
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing function from the ground up, fostering a collaborative culture and establishing clear performance metrics
- Elevate the SLS brand and digital presence to reflect our leadership position in mission-critical asset classes, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels
- Design and implement sophisticated marketing strategies aimed at new client capture while optimizing the ongoing experience and retention of our current client base
- Standardize, scale, and optimize the proposal and pursuit management process to continuously improve win rates for complex, high-value consulting contracts
- Evaluate, implement, and oversee advanced marketing technologies and data analytics to track campaign effectiveness, market trends, and overall ROI
- Establish the firm's executives as industry experts through a programmatic content strategy, focusing heavily on specialized trends in data centers, life sciences, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing
- Oversee corporate communications and target-market visibility, including high-impact presence at key AEC and niche-sector industry conferences
- Gather continuous feedback from existing clients to feed intelligence directly back into the executive strategy and operations
- Partner with talent acquisition and human resources to market the firm’s employee value proposition internally and externally, ensuring consistent corporate culture communication during rapid headcount growth
Skills
- Deep experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum 15 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years serving in a leadership or 'head of' capacity
- Proven ability to design, build, and scale a corporate marketing function from scratch, including infrastructure, processes, and team recruitment
- Exceptional executive presence and communications skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, navigate organizational growth, and drive change management
- Candidates in California are preferred
- AEC Marketing leaders in other US markets will also be considered
