Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Birth Control Pharmacist provides education and training, implementation assistance, resources, and clinical updates to pharmacists prescribing contraception and key stakeholders. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will work closely with a small team to develop user-informed software solutions aimed at improving access to birth control and other public health services.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture of the product/application
- Perform development, optimization, and automation activities to support the implementation of a product/application
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Develop unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of the applications. Debug and resolve issues as they arise
- Come up with creative solutions to address stakeholder requests
- Adopts engineering best practices to deliver higher quality and scalable solutions
- Identify deficiencies within a product/application’s code base and identifies and acts upon opportunities to improve overall code quality
- Ensure solutions are secure, durable, scalable, flexible, and accessible; proactively mitigates against production support issues
- Work closely with other engineers, design, research, and product owners
- Integrate complex backend systems with sleek, responsive frontend designs
- Design and implement user-friendly interfaces
- Create robust frontend architectures that scale with our growing platform
- Support and implement the latest standards in securing data to meet HIPAA requirements. Compliance with laws, regulations, and policies is a condition of employment and an element of job performance
Skills
- Must legally reside in the US and all work must be completed in the US (due to federal funding requirements)
- 7+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer
- Experience with using Terraform, Javascript, React frameworks (Next, Remix), and Typescript
- Experience in implementing and troubleshooting HL7 interfaces
- Experience with supporting SOC2 compliance readiness
- Experience with FHIR standards for healthcare data exchange
- Self-motivated, dedicated, and driven to succeed in a small team environment
- Able to easily shift focus with changing priorities
- Good debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- This role is open to candidates living in: CA, IA, IL, IN, MA, MD, MO, or NY
- Birth Control Pharmacist participates in the E-Verify program
- Experience working with healthcare providers (especially pharmacists) preferred, but not necessary
