The role involves developing and executing FTR strategies, forecasting, and collaborating with various teams to align trading strategies with portfolio objectives.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute FTR strategies to optimize congestion exposure across asset portfolios
• Utilize DAYZER for LMP forecasting, constraint analysis, and auction positioning
• Identify hedging and alpha opportunities linked to physical generation and load positions
• Partner with asset, origination, and risk teams to align trading strategies with portfolio objectives
Skills
• Develop and execute FTR strategies to optimize congestion exposure across asset portfolios
• Utilize DAYZER for LMP forecasting, constraint analysis, and auction positioning
• Identify hedging and alpha opportunities linked to physical generation and load positions
• Partner with asset, origination, and risk teams to align trading strategies with portfolio objectives
• FTR / congestion trading or power market experience
• Strong DAYZER experience (or similar nodal modeling tools)
• Deep understanding of ISO market structures, transmission constraints, and LMP formation
• Strong analytical/quantitative skillset (Python a plus)
• Experience working with or alongside physical assets (generation, renewables, load)
