Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Elevate Healthcare Marketing is looking for a freelance Social Media Strategist with experience in regulated prescription pharmaceutical brands. The role involves developing social strategies, advising on brand setup, and creating MLR-ready content workflows while collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop social strategies for patient and HCP audiences that align to brand, business, and engagement KPIs
- Assess a brand's competitive social landscape and turn it into channel strategy, content pillars, and measurement recommendations
- Advise on page setup, verification, and launch sequencing for Rx brands, and help us navigate unclear or inconsistent platform policies for pharma use cases
- Build MLR-ready content workflows: templates, review checkpoints, fair-balance and ISI conventions, AE/product-quality-complaint escalation, and comment moderation
- Define a measurement framework that connects native social analytics with GA4 — UTM governance, taxonomy, dashboards, KPI reporting
- Support an org-level social playbook covering governance, workflows, escalation, and archiving
- Recommend practical AI-assisted workflows for social listening, content tagging, and reporting — within regulatory, privacy, and confidentiality constraints
Skills
- 5+ years in social media strategy, including 2–3+ years on prescription pharmaceutical, biologic, or regulated healthcare brands (agency or in-house)
- Hands-on experience launching or managing Rx brand social properties on Meta, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, or similar
- Working fluency in FDA/OPDP promotional rules, fair balance, MLR review, AE/PQC escalation, and patient/HCP audience separation — you're doing this already, not learning it on the job
- Comfort working across account, strategy, creative, media, analytics, regulatory, legal, medical, and client stakeholders
- Strong writing, documentation, and client-facing presentation skills
- Existing support or escalation relationships with Meta, LinkedIn, or other platform teams
- Built social playbooks, launch checklists, or MLR-ready content systems before
- Supported both patient and HCP communities with platform-specific nuance
- Used AI tools for social listening, tagging, analytics summaries, or workflow automation
