They are seeking a Financial Analyst to ensure accurate financial reporting and collaborate with program teams to manage budgets and financial risks. This role involves preparing financial plans, facilitating financial reviews, and supporting various financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and effectively managing financial risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with program team and across Leidos functions to define program goals, establish budget, and prepare and maintain EAC
- Prepare and submit work package plans and ETCs, maintain the financial integrity of assigned work packages
- Facilitate internal and external financial reviews
- Support the invoice process, cost validation, variance analysis, prepare journal entries, charge number maintenance, WAD issuance
- Make recommendations to leadership for making business decisions
- Building internal and external relationships to grow the program and achieve strategic goals
- Continuously drive reporting process and system enhancements to increase speed, consistency and accuracy of KPI reporting
- Support ad-hoc cost reporting and performance analysis
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting OR related field and 2+ years of relevant experience
- 2 years of program financial analyst experience
- Able to perform functions such as financial planning, financial analysis, and general accounting
- Able to extract data from multiple sources and effectively summarize the current financial position of the program
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of the project finance field and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments. This position requires a problem solver that can pull together knowledge from a broad range of subjects to produce thorough analysis of multifaceted, challenging issues, and use those analyses to find solutions
- Committed to customer service, be well organized, be able to plan and prioritize assignments, and be able to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, be courteous and professional
- Have the ability to work with remote teams and in a fast-paced environment
- Propose and implement project/program improvements
- Strong background in the entire Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel, particularly in the development of formulas, v-lookups, and macros
- Demonstrate advanced analytical skills
- Positive can-do attitude, excellent communication, and problem solving skills
- US Citizenship is required and able to obtain at minimum Public Trust clearance
- Knowledge of Leidos Financial Systems such as Costpoint, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Cognos, Power BI, and ServiceNow
