The Fabrication Project Manager role involves managing subcontracted fabrication work and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Manages subcontracted fabrication work for Midwest Steel and sister company Indiana Bridge
- Supporting and managing early phases such as design coordination
- Pricing
- Value engineering
- Review of shop drawings
- Fabrication planning to ensure successful project execution
- Travel to fabrication facilities nationwide as needed
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or Civil Engineering
- Work experience in the engineering and/or construction industry, preferably in the steel fabrication or structural steel industry
- Past experience in a steel fabrication shop
- Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
