Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Andrews & Cole, LLC is seeking a Director of Accounting to oversee day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close
- Manage preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and supporting schedules
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Support audits, tax filings, and other regulatory reporting requirements
- Evaluate existing accounting systems, controls, and procedures; recommend and implement improvements
- Partner with leadership to analyze financial performance and support decision-making
- Serve as a key liaison with external auditors, banks, and other partners
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management as needed
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years managing accounting functions
- Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- CPA or MBA strongly preferred
