DeepHealth, through its subsidiary CIMAR UK Ltd, is a leader in the SaaS healthcare sector focusing on advanced cloud-based image management solutions. The DevOps Engineer will support and evolve DeepHealth's AWS-based infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms while ensuring the security and reliability of the systems to facilitate efficient software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tooling (Terraform or equivalent), ensuring consistency, repeatability, and version control
- Manage and improve Kubernetes platforms (EKS or similar), including cluster configuration, scaling, upgrades, and reliability
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable software delivery across development teams
- Monitor platform health and performance, respond to incidents, and drive root cause analysis and resolution to maintain high availability
- Automate operational processes and repetitive tasks to reduce toil and improve team efficiency
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices including IAM policies, network security, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning
- Support development teams with platform tooling, onboarding to infrastructure services, and resolving environment-level issues
- Manage container image pipelines and registry, including security scanning and lifecycle management
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure, processes, runbooks, and architectural decisions
- Contribute to cost monitoring and optimisation across cloud services, identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure role
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, and related)
- Experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar for automation
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs
- Security-conscious approach to infrastructure design and operations
- Experience with observability and monitoring tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar)
- Familiarity with GitOps practices and tooling (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux)
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect)
- Experience in a regulated industry such as healthcare or finance
