Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Merative is a company focused on automation and cloud infrastructure solutions. The DevOps Engineer (Mid-Level) will build and operate SCIA's automation platform, owning automation capabilities end-to-end to improve security, reliability, and cost efficiency across Azure environments. This role involves designing Infrastructure-as-Code, managing CI/CD pipelines, and supporting operational automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, enhance, and maintain Azure Infrastructure-as-Code using ARM modules and examples
- Build and operate CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub used to validate, package, and release SCIA automation
- Develop operational automation supporting patching, scaling, diagnostics enforcement, cost optimization, and policy compliance
- Lead technical onboarding engagements with application teams and resolve deployment or configuration issues
- Participate in PI planning, backlog refinement, and change-managed release activities
- Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation roles
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating workloads in Microsoft Azure
- Strong automation and scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript for automation, tooling, or CI/CD pipeline development
- Experience working in enterprise environments with formal change management and release controls
