About Us
We are a forward-looking travel agency specializing in immersive cultural journeys — combining history, local traditions, art, cuisine and unique experiences. We believe travel is more than sightseeing; it’s about connection, understanding and transformation. We’re looking for a passionate Remote Cultural Travel Planner who shares that vision and can help our clients craft meaningful journeys.
Key Responsibilities
• Consult with clients remotely to understand their travel interests, budget, cultural focus (heritage, art, gastronomy, local traditions) and trip goals.
• Research and design fully customized itineraries that highlight cultural richness: local festivals, indigenous communities, art & architecture, traditional cuisine, historical sites, cultural tours.
• Coordinate bookings: flights, accommodations, ground transportation, guides, local experiences and relevant activities — ensuring cultural authenticity and value.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with cultural organisations, local hosts/guides, vendors and suppliers — ensuring high-quality experiences and fair partnerships.
• Provide travellers with guidance on local customs, cultural etiquette, entry/visa requirements, health and safety, and any relevant travel advisories.
• Monitor destination trends, new cultural travel opportunities, travel restrictions, and supplier updates.
• Deliver client support before, during and after trips (pre-departure advice, trouble-shooting while traveling, post-trip follow-up and feedback).
• Maintain accurate records: itineraries, bookings, payments, client preferences and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, customer service) to refine offers, produce travel content, help with upsells or value-adds (e.g., premium cultural dinners, private sessions, exclusive access).
Qualifications & Skills
• A deep interest in world cultures, cultural travel, heritage tourism, art, food traditions or local lifestyles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong customer service orientation.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple itineraries/clients simultaneously in a remote environment.
• Comfortable working independently, self-motivated, able to meet deadlines and work across timeu2010zones as needed.
• Proficiency with computers, Internet, online booking platforms/CRMs, basic spreadsheets.
• Previous experience in travel planning, hospitality, tourism or event planning is a plus — but not strictly required if you have the right mindset and willingness to learn.
• (Optional) Knowledge of additional languages beyond English is beneficial.
• Reliable internet connection, home office set-up suitable for remote work.
What We Offer
• Fully remote work: flexibility in location.
• Flexible schedule (depending on the role: full-time or part-time).
• Opportunity to design and influence meaningful, culturally-rich travel experiences that leave a lasting impact.
• Access to travel industry tools, supplier networks and exclusive travel deals/discounts (depending on partnership).
• Growth opportunities: as you build expertise and client relationships, possibility to specialize (e.g., luxury cultural travel, group cultural tours, thematic cultural travel).
• Supportive team environment (though remote) with training, mentorship and resources to succeed.
Ideal Candidate
You’re someone who:
• Gets excited by discovering new places, cultures and traditions, and enjoys sharing that with others.
• Is a problem-solver: when travel issues arise (time differences, delays, local disruptions) you remain calm and find solutions.
• Loves designing journeys that go beyond the “tourist trail” — you aim for authenticity, depth and memorable cultural moments.
• Understands that remote work demands discipline: you manage your time and tasks, communicate proactively, and collaborate digitally.
• Is open to continuous learning: staying current on destinations, travel technologies and emerging trends in cultural travel.
