Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Allswell is building the leading mental health services company for the LGBTQ+ community. They are seeking a licensed Clinical Director to lead clinical quality, supervision, and care delivery for their therapists, ensuring a high-quality, affirming care experience for clients and providers.
Responsibilities
- Own the quality framework, chart review cadence, outcome tracking against our depression, anxiety, loneliness and other measures, and treatment fidelity across the team
- Own the supervision structure and our external supervision partnership, and step in to provide direct supervision during the transition period as needed
- Lead onboarding, coaching, and clinician development, including integrating best practices for LGBTQ+ clinical care
- Support provider productivity, scheduling expectations, documentation workflows, and effective use of our EMR
- Own crisis and risk protocols, treatment planning for complex cases, mandated reporting, and clinical policy, in coordination with our compliance function
- Own fidelity to the Trauma Journal and our Written Exposure Therapy protocol, and help evolve the model alongside our clinical advisors
- Partner with the Medical Director and Psychiatry Team on the care model, new service lines such as group therapy, and how we scale affirming care across states
- Strengthen communication, accountability, and consistency across the clinical team, with particular attention to the needs of LGBTQ+ clients
Skills
- Active independent clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC/LMHC, or Psychologist)
- Qualified to provide clinical supervision to associate or pre-licensed clinicians
- Demonstrated experience and cultural competence delivering affirming care to LGBTQ+ clients (required)
- 8+ years of clinical experience in behavioral health
- Experience supervising licensed and/or pre-licensed clinicians
- Strong background in clinical documentation, quality standards, and performance oversight
- Skilled at balancing accountability, support, and relationship-building with clinical teams
- Organized, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth virtual environment where processes and infrastructure are still evolving
- Experience in virtual behavioral health or telehealth
- Licensure in DC, MD, or VA is a plus. We welcome candidates licensed elsewhere who are willing to pursue licensure in these geographies
- A deep passion for transforming how LGBTQ+ people access affirming, high-quality mental health care
- Experience building or scaling clinical quality and supervision infrastructure at a growing practice
- Fluency with outcomes-based, measurement-informed care
- A track record of raising the clinical bar while keeping clinicians supported and engaged
