They are seeking a self-motivated Client-Facing Instructional Designer who will create engaging training experiences and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities
- Creating engaging and effective training experiences for adult learners to facilitate knowledge transfer and skill acquisition-refinement
- Collaborating with the subject matter experts to identify target audience's training needs
- Conducting instructional research and analysis on learners and training contexts
- Applying proven instructional design theories, practices, and methodologies
- Defining instructional goals and developing content that aligns with established objectives
- Establishing evaluation criteria and creating effective assessment tools
- Visualizing and storyboarding instructional graphics, user interface, and the final product
- Build interactive, visually compelling eLearning using Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise, Review, Replay)
- Creating supporting materials, including audio, video, simulations, role plays, and games
- Conducting site visits to client facilities to gather information for tailored training solutions
- Capturing key points during site visits to understand broader project objectives
- Performing gap assessments to ensure client training complies with regulatory standards
- Formatting training materials using client style guides and branding guidelines
- Maintaining thorough project documentation to ensure consistency throughout design and implementation process
- Availability to work up to 8 hours daily, depending on workload
- Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented with dedication to accuracy
- Strong ability to thrive in a fully remote setting
Skills
- Advanced degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of instructional design experience, preferably in a consulting or client-facing role
- Deep mastery of Articulate 360 and comfort with structured authoring tools
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional frameworks (ADDIE, SAM), and learning evaluation models (Kirkpatrick, etc.)
- Familiarity with learning experience platforms (LXPs), LMS administration, or SCORM/xAPI
- Ability to guide clients confidently and diplomatically
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and propose clear solutions
- Experience in working effectively with SMEs, colleagues, developers, and client partners
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead discussions/present solutions to clients
- Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong writing, editing, storyboarding, and visual communication skills
- Experience with Agile or iterative project methodologies
- Strong ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Experience using Microsoft 365 tools and a remote, online task management platform
- Experience with MadCap Syndicate
