Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. S2A Modular is a modular home construction company that has raised $75M and is preparing for an IPO. They are seeking a Capital Markets Chief Financial Officer to lead their capital strategy and fundraising efforts, ensuring the company is ready for public markets.
Responsibilities
- Raise institutional capital from family offices, venture capital, private equity, strategic investors, and investment banks
- Lead financings from Seed through growth rounds and ultimately IPO
- Develop relationships with investment bankers, institutional investors, analysts, and capital partners
- Build sophisticated financial models and long-term capital strategies
- Lead due diligence with investors
- Help establish governance, financial controls, reporting systems, and investor communications required for becoming a public company
- Work directly with the CEO and Board to maximize shareholder value
- Build and lead the finance organization as the company scales
Skills
- Served as CFO (or equivalent senior finance executive) for a high-growth company
- Successfully completed at least one Initial Public Offering (IPO)
- Personally led or played a major leadership role raising $15 million or more in private capital prior to an IPO
- Strong relationships with investment banks and institutional investors
- Experience with SEC reporting, public company readiness, governance, and financial compliance
- Exceptional communication and investor presentation skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building companies
- Experience in one or more of the following industries is highly desirable: Modular construction, Manufacturing, Construction technology (ConTech), Real estate development, Building products, Clean technology, Infrastructure, Renewable energy
