Tyler Technologies is a leader in government technology solutions, and they are seeking an Account Executive for the Courts & Justice sector in Texas and Oklahoma. The role involves partnering with government officials to provide technology solutions that enhance public service, leading complex sales cycles, and managing relationships with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Help government partners become more responsive, equitable, and prepared for the next decade of change
- Lead complex, high-touch sales cycles with local county leaders (CIOs, department heads, elected officials, budget teams) from lead generation to close of sale
- Host or participate in events, demos, or forums where public trust is on the line
- Uncover underlying fears, risks, and blockers from decision-makers and navigate them with tact, not techspeak
- Reposition technology, not as a trend, but as a tool for enhanced public service
- Partner with sales enablement and internal teams to comprehend and tell the story
- Stay ahead of the AI curve without getting lost in the buzzwords
- Assists with the preparation of cost proposals and RFP responses
- Maintains and manages accurate forecasts and activity reports in CRM
- Travels to customer locations and applicable association conferences approximately 50 – 75% of the time
- Territory includes half of the Texas counties below 100,000 population, Oklahoma Counties and Oklahoma Tribal Nations
Skills
- Previous experience selling to courts and justice organizations or tenured experience as a county official or subject matter expert is strongly preferred
- Prior experience using a sales CRM system for forecasting and opportunity management
- Experience in public sector software sales and you've closed deals that required multiple approvals and a pile of patience
- Know how to read a room, not just run a script
- Believe AI should enhance, not erase, the human side of government
- Have hosted or led public-facing demos, workshops, or presentations (or want to)
- Aren't afraid of a slow burn and know how to bring stakeholders along over time
- Can take a complex idea and explain it to your aunt, a commissioner, and a room full of analysts (and have them all get it)
