Scratch Financial is a Series C financial technology startup based in Los Angeles, California, focused on transforming veterinary care financing. They are seeking an experienced Account Executive to drive sales growth and manage client relationships in the healthcare technology sector.
Responsibilities
- Own the final stages of the sales pipeline with a consultative close process
- Partner with SDR colleagues to ensure a healthy prospect pipeline, contributing to early stage efforts when necessary
- Drive significant revenue growth by consistently exceeding quarterly sales targets
- Own and proactively manage a pipeline of customers, providing leadership team forecasting updating
- Collaborate with the sales, customer success and business operations teams to refine go-to-market strategies, and share insights and best practices
- Establish strong relationships with prospects, serving as a trusted advisor throughout their buying journey
Skills
- 2+ years full-cycle B2B AE sales experience (preferably SMB or mid-market)
- Proven quota attainment of 90–100%+ for multiple quarters
- Strong discovery and consultative selling ability — can identify business problems and translate them into ROI conversations
- Experience managing deals in a CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce) with disciplined pipeline hygiene
- Confident running virtual demos and presenting to business owners, managers, and finance leaders
- Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable explaining complex payment or software concepts simply
- Ownership mindset: self-starter who treats their territory as their own business
- Willingness to travel (once per quarter anticipated but may vary according to team and customer events)
- Experience in fintech, SaaS, or payments
- Exposure to the veterinary, healthcare, or med-spa verticals
- Track record of working cross-functionally with SDRs and CSMs in a pod or territory model
- Familiarity with interchange-plus or payment processing fee structures
- Field experience (onsite meetings, conferences, or trade shows)
- Prior startup or growth-stage experience — comfortable with change and ambiguity
