We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quality Assurance Officer to help support a Background Investigative Services Contract. The QAO oversees quality assurance processes across investigative operations, monitors performance metrics, identifies trends, and drives continuous improvement to ensure investigative accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. The QAO is also responsible for implementing, administering, and maintaining the Quality Control Program in accordance with DHS requirements. Job Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production/service that meets established standards and customer specifications involving National Security Clearance Background Investigations, such as FIS, ODNI directives. • Perform routine inspections and quality tests on products, processes, and materials to verify compliance with industry. • Analyze data from quality reviews of Reports of Investigations (ROIs) to identify areas for improvement within the ROI process, including troubleshooting product or process failures. • Coordinate with production and development teams to ensure quality standards are understood and integrated into all phases of production, helping to ensure timely and quality deliverables. • Facilitate corrective actions and improvement strategies for non-conformances and quality issues identified during internal or external audits. • Validate quality processes by establishing review specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence, and determining operational and performance qualifications. • Work with training department on refresher, advanced training, and workshops for investigative and personnel staff on quality assurance processes, tools, and standards to foster a quality-centric culture within the organization. • Ensure all background investigations receive the required two-tier review in compliance with Federal Investigative Standards (FIS) and customer guidance Education and Experience: Experience (Minimum): • Six (6) or more years of experience in the personnel security investigations or background investigations industry. • Highly desired and recommended to have Quality Assurance Experience with Background Investigations. Education (Minimum): • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university • PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED: the QAO has a background in integrity, compliance, and ethics related to personnel security.
