About the Role Our client, a prominent player in the industrial services sector, is seeking an organized and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to join their team in Charlotte, North Carolina . This role is integral to maintaining seamless operations by ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of essential goods and services. The position operates on a Hybrid model, offering a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. You will be responsible for supporting the purchasing department, managing vendor relationships, and assisting with various procurement activities to optimize efficiency and achieve cost savings. Key Responsibilities Support the Purchasing Manager in daily procurement operations and strategic sourcing activities. Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes, process purchase orders, and track deliveries. Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact information, pricing, and performance data. Assist in negotiating terms and pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive rates. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to manage stock effectively. Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors in coordination with the finance department. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to purchase orders, deliveries, or vendor performance. Conduct basic market research to identify potential new suppliers and evaluate existing ones. Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures. Assist in preparing reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance. Requirements Associate's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred. 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related administrative role. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word. Familiarity with ERP systems or procurement software is a plus. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors and internal staff. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a Hybrid environment. Basic understanding of supply chain and procurement principles. Proactive attitude and problem-solving capabilities.
