Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to promote the success of public health students at Washington State University.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and coordinate experiential learning opportunities for public health students, including internships, service-learning projects, and research experiences.
Serve as a mentor and advisor to public health students, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic and career goals.
Coordinate and lead workshops, events, and programs aimed at enhancing the professional and personal development of public health students.
Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to identify and secure meaningful and impactful experiential learning opportunities for students.
Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of experiential learning programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Serve as a liaison between public health students and relevant university departments, providing information and resources to support their academic and personal success.
Collaborate with campus diversity and equity offices to ensure an inclusive and equitable environment for public health students.
Keep up-to-date with current trends and best practices in public health education and experiential learning, and use this knowledge to continuously improve programs and services.
Assist with recruitment and retention efforts for public health students, including representing the program at recruitment events and providing support to current students.
Maintain accurate and organized records of student participation and outcomes in experiential learning programs.
Manage budgets and resources related to experiential learning programs and events.
Communicate regularly with public health students, faculty, and staff to provide updates and gather feedback on student needs and program effectiveness.
Adhere to all university policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality in accordance with federal and state laws.
