Project Manager, Nature Based Solutions

Job Description: • Lead the implementation of environmental commodity projects in a collaborative team environment • Implement greenhouse gas emission reduction and removal projects using nature-based solutions like reforestation, improved forest management, biochar, and additional projects worldwide • Work closely with team members and project partners to design, implement, monitor, report, and verify their projects • Develop project description documents and monitoring plans in accordance with the project methodology, regulations, and client needs • Advise clients on opportunities to improve carbon impact and project performance, compliance with methodology and registry requirements • Quantify carbon offsets associated with project activities • Collect, process, and manage project data • Perform greenhouse gas emission reduction calculations in accordance with all methodology requirements • Assist the independent verification process for the project, including contracting verification bodies, coordinating and attending verification site visits, engaging or providing support for community & stakeholder engagement, and resolving audit findings and corrective actions • Interface with carbon offset registries to resolve project compliance issues, deviations, and submit required documentation in a timely manner • Support the progress of all project assignments • Maintain project schedule and budget • Perform occasional project site visits with verifiers, field crews, company personnel, or other parties • Provide regular updates to leadership on the status of projects Requirements: • Minimum BS in a relevant field, including but not limited to: Biology, Conservation Environmental Studies, Forestry or any related fields • Minimum 2 or more years of project management experience • Minimum of 2 years of developing, supporting, and implementing nature-based projects either for carbon markets or otherwise • Prior experience using GIS, ArcPro, QGIS, and other related software • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities. Expertise in Excel and/or other data analysis tools. Comfortable working with and manipulating large datasets • Strong knowledge of statistics • Ability to maintain multiple projects on schedule and within budget • Excels at client interaction, including developing and delivering presentations, written deliverables, and building relationships with external parties • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members and ClimeCo partners • Willing to travel on occasion (up to 5 times a year) Benefits: • Comprehensive services spanning environmental asset innovation • Flexible work arrangements Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
