Program Manager, Card Network Office (CNO)

Description: • Establish a release management process aligned with card network mandates and advise cross-functional partners on impacts, changes, and timelines. • Review and analyze biannual card network releases to identify initiatives that affect Stripe’s business and prioritize them with partner teams. • Coordinate communication between engineering teams and card network Technical Partner Managers to clarify and negotiate complex mandates and programs. • Build a framework for monitoring compliance with card network requirements and internal policies, including audits and gap assessments. • Create and maintain metrics and JIRA dashboards to track mandates, release cycles, and business priorities. • Own the network mandate intake process, including timely review, assessment, prioritization, and waiver request management. • Engage with external network partners through councils, forums, and strategic meetings to build and maintain relationships. • Advocate for Stripe within the card network ecosystem and represent Stripe’s perspectives to network stakeholders. • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and developing strategies that improve operational efficiency and scalability. Requirements: • 5+ years of experience in the payments industry, with significant expertise in card networks and card network rules and compliance activities. • Deep understanding of acquiring platforms and systems and how they interact with card network products and processes. • Proficiency with JIRA for project management and tracking, plus familiarity with card network portals for compliance monitoring. • Comfort using Google Workspace tools such as Sheets, Docs, and Slides for collaboration and documentation. • Proven ability to collaborate with product and engineering teams to create new processes and strategies. • Strong program and project management skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders outside of direct control. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with internal and external partners. • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and operate effectively in ambiguity while building a new function. • Strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify cross-functional issues and communicate process and system impacts. • Preferred experience at a payment service provider, card network, or high-growth technology company. • Preferred bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance or Technology.
