Our client, a leader in Scientific Research & Development, is seeking a highly experienced Principal Research Scientist with a specialization in Immunology to join their innovative team. This role offers the opportunity to lead groundbreaking research projects, drive scientific discovery, and contribute to the development of novel therapeutics. You will be instrumental in designing and executing complex immunological studies, mentoring junior scientists, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: Lead independent research projects in immunology, focusing on mechanisms of disease and therapeutic interventions. Design and conduct in vitro and in vivo immunological assays to investigate cellular and molecular pathways. Develop and validate novel assays for target identification and validation. Analyze and interpret complex immunological data, and present findings to internal teams and external stakeholders. Author high-quality scientific publications and present research at international conferences. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including drug discovery, preclinical development, and clinical teams. Mentor and supervise junior research scientists and technicians, providing scientific guidance and career development support. Manage research budgets and resources effectively. Stay current with the latest advancements in immunology, infectious diseases, and related fields. Contribute to the strategic direction of the immunology research portfolio. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related life science field. Minimum of 8 years of post-doctoral or industry research experience in immunology. Proven track record of leading successful research projects and a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Extensive experience with a broad range of immunological techniques, including flow cytometry, ELISA, western blotting, cell culture, and animal models. Expertise in immune cell function, cytokine signaling, and immune regulation. Strong understanding of drug discovery and development processes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific information clearly. Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead a research team. Experience with adaptive and innate immunity is essential. Proficiency in bioinformatics tools for immunological data analysis is a plus.
