Principal HR Business Partner

Job Description: • Build performance management processes, and manager training • Improve engagement programs and manage company-wide engagement tools • Partner with managers to support retention, promote growth opportunities, and handle employee relations • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws; maintain policies • Collaborate with Total Rewards on compensation and benefits strategy • Balance strategy with hands-on HR administration and systems management Requirements: • 8+ years of HRBP experience and current PHR or SPHR certification • Knowledgeable about U.S. employment laws and regulations across several states, with a deep knowledge of California laws required • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets • Experience with both hourly and salaried workforces. • Experience building performance management programs. • Experience with coaching, employee relations, and change management. • Comfort working in a lean, startup environment. • Bonus: Experience in a tech company Benefits: • Excellent benefits package that includes health, vision, and dental coverage for you, your spouse, and dependents • HSA/FSA options with corresponding contribution limits • Monthly grocery stipend and home internet reimbursement • 401K w/ a match after a grace period • Life and AD&D coverage • Disability insurance (Short and Long Term) • Parental leave • Four (4) weeks of paid vacation in addition to paid holidays • Home office budget for remote team members • Mental health and other wellbeing support programs through a partner network
