Pre-Sales Specialist, Political, Advocacy & Agency

About the position Resonate is seeking a Pre-Sales Specialist to join their Political, Advocacy & Agency team. This role is client-facing and involves working with political campaigns, advocacy organizations, and media agencies. The Pre-Sales Specialist will be responsible for the pre-sales process, turning client needs into data-backed solutions by designing audiences, building proposals, structuring budgets, and ensuring campaign readiness. The role requires a strong understanding of why people think and behave the way they do, going beyond basic demographics to understand motivations, values, and behaviors. Responsibilities • Partner with sales on the full pre-sales cycle - from discovery calls and briefings through to final presentations with senior stakeholders at campaigns, advocacy groups, and agencies • Draft Managed Media and data proposals, including audience design, budget tables, insertion orders, and supporting campaign documentation • Deliver product demos and technical presentations that bring Resonate's data depth and capabilities to life for clients • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable strategies that drive measurable outcomes for clients • Collaborate with Product and Research teams to feed client insights back into the roadmap • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing - case studies, POVs, best practices, and thought leadership Requirements • 1-3 years of experience in media planning, campaign management, or pre-sales • Strong analytical skills - ability to take a complex dataset and turn it into a clear story • Excellent communication, written and verbal - confidence presenting to senior audiences • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without things slipping • A genuine interest in the political, advocacy, or agency media space • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Nice-to-haves • Experience in programmatic, AdTech, SaaS, or a data-driven media environment • Familiarity with DMPs, DSPs, or audience-based buying • Prior experience at a media agency or working on political or advocacy campaigns • Comfort working in environments that aren't fully defined yet - ability to build the process as much as follow it Benefits • Uncapped growth potential • Chance to have a meaningful impact on the company • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge, AI-powered marketing data and identity solutions • Competitive 401(k) match • Open PTO policy
