Pharmacy technician i - retail, remote

Overview $5,000 Sign On/Retention Bonus External candidates only Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist performs routine and specialized technical and clerical duties for drug distribution to patients. This is a Full Time, 40hr per week, benefitted position. Dartmouth is the best where it matters most! Biweekly matching contribution of 50% on up to 4% of pay saved—for a maximum match of 2% of pay. • Paid Time Off: Paid time off is accrued per pay period based on hours worked. This includes six paid holidays. • Shift Differential:10% evening, 20% night, and 15% weekend shift differentials when applicable. • Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $3,000 per year. • Dental • Vision #CPT, #Pharmacy Technician, #Dartmouth-Hitchcock Pharmacy Responsibilities • Answers Phones. • Prepares prescription and non-prescription medication and/or devices. • Stocks and replenishes stock locations and automated dispensing machines (ADMs) and/or robots (example: shelves, carousels, Parata). • May assist with orienting and training pharmacy department staff. • Communicates supply issues, problems or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel. • Assists in revising policy and procedure. • Delivers meds to beds or patient care area Inpatient Only: • Prepares or compounds non-sterile, non-antineoplastic drug products in accordance with USP chapter <795> under supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. • Maintains the hardware and software of the department's multiple computer systems. Outpatient Only: • Electronically processes prescription orders and prepares prescriptions for verification by a pharmacist. • Take verbal orders from providers, runs registers, performs production and data entry production. • Processes third party claims. • Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications • Associates degree in a health or related field, (with 1 year of pharmacy experience) or the equivalent in education and experience preferred. • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy. • Ability to multitask and attention to detail. • Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations. Required Licensure/Certifications • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required. • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required. • BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire for Pharmacy Technicians in the Retail or Specialty Pharmacy if required to administer immunizations.
