As a Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher and students in a dynamic and fast-paced early childhood education environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher to create a supportive learning environment for students
- Work with individual students or small groups to provide academic tutoring and instruction under the direction of the classroom teacher
- Assist with classroom management, organization, and data recording
- Supervise students during meals, assemblies, and assigned activities
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support student learning
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2-year degree or 48 college credit hours
- Pass the State Para-Educator test (or willingness to take)
- Pass a criminal background check
- TB Skin Test and basic physical examination
Work Environment:
- Part-time position with a schedule that follows the school calendar
- Work primarily in a classroom setting, with occasional outdoor supervision of students
