Duties • Assist in developing and refining machine learning models focused on natural language processing (NLP) for Japanese text analysis • Support data collection, cleaning, and transformation processes using ETL tools such as Talend and Bash scripts to prepare datasets for model training • Contribute to model training and deployment workflows utilizing frameworks like TensorFlow, Spark, and Hadoop to handle large-scale data efficiently • Collaborate on database design and management to ensure optimal data storage and retrieval using SQL, R, SAS, and other database technologies • Engage in data mining and linked data analysis to uncover insights that enhance AI applications and improve system accuracy • Participate in model evaluation, tuning, and validation activities employing machine learning frameworks and techniques such as unsupervised learning • Assist with the integration of AI models into production environments through deployment tools and cloud services like AWS Requirements • Proven experience with programming languages including Python, Java, C, or VBA; familiarity with Bash (Unix shell) is a plus • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, frameworks (TensorFlow), and natural language processing techniques specific to Japanese language challenges • Hands-on experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and ETL processes for large-scale data handling • Knowledge of database design principles along with proficiency in SQL and related data management technologies • Familiarity with analytics platforms like Looker or similar BI tools for data visualization and reporting • Experience working on model training, deployment, and evaluation within cloud environments like AWS is highly desirable • Ability to work independently on complex tasks while collaborating effectively within a team environment • Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a passion for innovation in AI technology This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of AI development tailored for the Japanese language.
