Part-time event planner needed for growing events company

Apply Now →
Hi there, My name is Samantha and I’m the founder of Twenty Eight Events, an experiential events company. For the right person, this is a dream job. If you are someone who… - Wants to excel in their career and take pride in active and stimulating work; - Gets excited at the prospect of fast-paced and varied demands; - Is seeking an opportunity to prove yourself; …this is a listing worth reading to the end and considering. Over the past 8 years, we've managed to grow Twenty Eight Events to 300+ events so far, take on world-class corporate clients, and create stunning events. We’re going places still, and this position will give someone the chance to shape what we do from the center; and to be an invaluable team member who wants to grow with the company through hard work and dedication. Our current team is overloaded with work (not a bad problem to have), but because of that, we're looking to bring someone in ASAP who has plenty of experience planning worldwide events. • The role will be subject to wide-ranging demands focused mostly in our 'people department'. As a taster, but by no means an exhaustive list, your day-to-day will include... - Working in Asana on tasks assigned to you and ensuring they are delivered by the due date - Attendee management - Speaker management - Sponsor management - Hotel room block booking - Booking & managing off-site group activities - Guest swag or welcome gifts curated & ordered - Join in on weekly team calls to discuss current events and any new ones we get - Client communication (checking in on clients, making sure they’re happy and taken care of) • This company needs someone who’s VERY good and well-rounded. We want to hit the ground running which means this role won't be heavily trained nor micro-managed, and we'll be selecting for it carefully. The position will start at roughly 5-10 hours per week and as we grow, your hours will grow. If interested, please write back with a short letter noting your experience with the above tasks, event planning in general, and why you think you would be a good fit. I won’t be able to get back to everyone, but for those who stand out, we will set up a call next week. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our company. Thank you for considering the position. Best of luck and I look forward to hearing from you, Samantha
