OSP PM

Insight Global is seeking a highly technical OSP Project Manager to support large-scale fiber connectivity projects for a telecommunications client. This role is ideal for someone who blends hands-on fiber splicing and OTDR testing expertise with project leadership. Unlike a traditional PM, this individual will be deeply involved in the technical execution of fiber builds—owning projects from post-sale through closeout while ensuring quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery. This person acts as the primary customer contact while also serving as a technical escalation point for splicing, testing, and field execution. Job Summary • Own end-to-end delivery of fiber projects, from planning through construction, testing, and closeout • Oversee splicing operations and validate OTDR traces, ensuring network performance and quality • Troubleshoot fiber issues (loss, reflections, defects) and ensure accurate resolution • Review and approve splice maps, test results, and closeout documentation • Manage vendors, construction teams, and field execution across multiple builds • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, providing updates and leading meetings/site visits • Ensure alignment between fiber design, field execution, and final delivery • Manage schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder coordination including municipalities Qualifications Required • Strong hands-on experience in fiber splicing and OTDR testing • Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot OTDR results (loss, reflections, splice defects) • Experience with fiber network restoration and troubleshooting • Strong organizational and communication skills • Interest in or progression into project management responsibilities Nice to Have • Prior project management or scheduling experience • Experience managing closeout packages and documentation • Exposure to vendor coordination or construction oversight Why This Role • Not a desk PM role – high-impact position where technical expertise drives project success • Perfect step-up opportunity for senior fiber splicers or lead technicians moving into PM • Technical ownership – act as the go-to expert for splicing quality and OTDR validation • Customer-facing influence – direct visibility and interaction with key telecom clients • Exposure to large-scale fiber builds with a major telecommunications customer • Opportunity to build both technical leadership and project management experience in one role Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
