Our Story - AAJF
We are a family-founded accounting and business advisory firm that works closely with business owners to bring structure, clarity, and discipline to growing organizations. Our work combines reliable accounting with practical operational insight, allowing clients to scale intentionally while maintaining control as complexity increases.
We place a strong emphasis on documented processes, clear workflows, and consistent execution. Internally, this means well-defined SOPs and a collaborative team environment. Externally, it means helping clients move from reactive management to confident, informed decision-making.
Our firm is built on long-term relationships—both with clients and within our team. We value sound judgment, accountability, and thoughtful communication, and we look for team members who take pride in their work and care about the businesses they support.

• Maintain a current and prioritized grant pipeline for each client with deadlines, eligibility requirements, and award amounts
• Evaluate funder guidelines and priorities to assess fit and likelihood of funding
• Monitor grant databases, foundation websites, and funding alerts to stay ahead of new opportunities
• Build and maintain a living library of grant sources organized by nonprofit focus area
Grant Writing & Submission
• Write clear, persuasive, and funder-aligned grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and applications across a range of funding sources
• Develop compelling program narratives that communicate client impact, need, and outcomes effectively
• Craft grant budgets and budget narratives in coordination with our accounting team
• Tailor each application to specific funder priorities, guidelines, and tone
• Manage the full submission process including required attachments, portal submissions, and confirmation tracking
Grant Compliance & Reporting
• Track all awarded grants including reporting deadlines, deliverables, and compliance requirements
• Write interim and final grant reports that demonstrate measurable outcomes and responsible stewardship of funds
• Coordinate with clients to gather program data, outcomes, and success stories for reporting purposes
• Maintain organized grant files including award letters, executed agreements, and correspondence
• Flag any compliance concerns or reporting risks to clients and internal team proactively
Client & Financial Coordination
• Serve as the day-to-day grant point of contact for assigned nonprofit clients
• Collaborate with our accounting team to ensure grant budgets reflect actual program costs and restricted fund requirements
• Support clients in understanding funder financial requirements and documentation expectations
• Participate in client check-ins to review grant pipeline status, upcoming deadlines, and strategy
