Job description: This Exterminator position is responsible for the prevention and control of pest infestation in buildings and surrounding of the Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS).

QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Must have experience as an exterminator; OR currently employed with CPS and successful completion of the exterminator training program and an Ohio Operator Pesticide license.

Knowledge of:
state of Ohio pesticide regulations.
pesticide chemicals.
safety precautions needed for the proper handling and storage of pesticides;
pest/rodent control.
English.

Ability to:
communicate orally and in writing.
read and write reports.
understand and follow written instructions.
recognize pest and rodent infestation.
operate and maintain equipment used.
set rodent traps according to EPA regulations.
work around fumes and odors.
work without close supervision.
work in cramped, dirty and dusty isolated areas.
work other than normal work schedules (e.g., shift work, overtime, weekends, early morning,
etc.)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a valid Driver License. Must be able to withstand physical agility and stamina to perform manual labor. Must be able to crawl and work for prolonged periods of time.

PROBATIONARY PERIOD:
Six months.
