Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Language Learner Tutor to provide part-time, remote support to students in Grades K-8. As a bilingual educator, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing Tier II and Tier III academic supports, instruction, and interventions that align with the prescribed curriculum. Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Alignment: Follow the prescribed curriculum with a high degree of fidelity, tailoring instruction and supports to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Student Assessment: Use and administer identified and relevant assessments to evaluate student learning and progress.
- Instructional Design: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with instructional coaches, school-based administrators, teachers, and other support staff to ensure seamless integration of academic supports.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, observations, and instructional activities.
- Professional Development: Participate in relevant professional development meetings and school site meetings as directed by the administration.
- Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility in teaching and scheduling, adapting to changing needs and priorities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Teaching Experience: Possess experience as a teacher, counselor, paraprofessional, or intern/trainee in a program for children and/or adolescents.
- Language Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in multiple languages, with a strong ability to communicate with students and families from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
- Certification: Preferably hold certification in grade or content area, with a focus on bilingual education.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and administrators.
