LA-based wholesale lab-grown diamond jewelry company. We are exhibiting at JCK Las Vegas 2026 — the largest jewelry trade show in North America — and need an exceptional motion designer for our booth screens.
THE PROJECT
18 short vertical (9:16) videos, 5–10 seconds each. Continuous loop across multiple vertical TVs and LED panels at the booth. Total loop ~2 minutes. Audience: professional B2B buyers (wholesalers, retailers, dealers). Goal: stop traffic from the aisle and communicate pricing clearly to engaged buyers.
THE AESTHETIC
Editorial, premium, restrained. Vacheron Constantin product films, Cartier editorial videos, Apple keynote product reveals slowed down. Confident, not loud. Informative, not flashy.
NOT: Instagram template motion. Music-driven cuts. Generic After Effects luxury templates (gold particles, lens flares, laser-line transitions, 3D spinning cubes). Retail/DTC. Anything that screams "jewelry sale."
SCOPE
- 18 vertical videos sharing a unified bottom-bar branding system (logo, QR code, signature light-sweep animation)
- Master template approved first, then applied consistently across all 18
- Both standard orientation AND 180°-rotated versions of every video (booth TVs may not auto-detect orientation)
- Final delivery: MP4 H.264 + ProRes masters
WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE FROM US
- Three sub-brand logo variations (Sparkling Jewelry, Sparkling Service House, Sparkling Lab-Grown Gemstones)
- Brand fonts and color palette
- Professionally shot 4K product footage (a videographer is already booked)
- Existing 360° rotation footage of stud earrings
- 30+ page production brief with second-by-second storyboards for every video
- Booth architectural drawings showing exact screen sizes and placements
- Pinterest references and concept boards
TIMELINE
- Final delivery: mid-May 2026 (approximately 2 weeks before show)
- Master template approval within 3–4 days of project start
- Round 1 review (first 9 videos) by Day 10
- Round 2 review (all 18) by Day 15
- Final QC and delivery by Day 17–18
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Confident motion designer with luxury, editorial, or high-end product portfolio
- Jewelry, watches, fashion, beauty, or fragrance experience strongly preferred
- Fluent in After Effects (this is the project tool)
- Comfortable building a master template and applying it consistently across deliverables
- Strong restraint — you understand that less, slower, and more deliberate reads as more premium
- Can commit to a 2-week sprint with clear milestones
- Strong written communication for async work
BONUS
- Vertical 9:16 format experience (non-social-media use)
- Color grading skills
- Static graphic design skills (for bottom-bar lockup)

4. Your quote — flat project rate or hourly + estimated hours
5. One question for us — anything you want to know that wasn't covered
Shortlisted candidates receive: brand intro video, full production brief, booth architectural drawings, and a 20-minute intro call.
