Key Responsibilities
• Participate actively in all provided training programs to master medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to the role.
• Learn to accurately and thoroughly document patient encounters, medical histories, physical exams, diagnostic tests, treatment plans, and discharge instructions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Familiarize yourself with various medical specialties and physician documentation preferences.
• Develop proficiency in navigating and utilizing the EHR system effectively and efficiently.
• Understand and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with supervising physicians and trainers, seeking clarification when needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless information flow and patient care coordination.
• Continuously seek opportunities for self-improvement and professional growth in medical documentation.
• Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments by gathering relevant information.
• Complete other administrative tasks as assigned to support clinical operations.
Required Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong active listening skills and the ability to interpret spoken information accurately.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Proficiency in typing with a minimum speed of 60 WPM.
• Comfortable with technology and learning new software applications.
• Strong commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated quiet workspace for remote work.
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow within the healthcare field.
Preferred Qualifications
• Some college coursework, particularly in science or health-related fields.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or office setting (e.g., administrative assistant, receptionist).
