Job description: Minnesota Reading Corps Information: Make a difference in our community and join our team as a reading tutor. We are looking for reading tutors to give their time and talent to help our students become successful readers and learners.

Job Description: As a Minnesota Reading Corps Literacy Tutor, you will work 5 days a week one-on-one with students in Kindergarten through Grade 3 during school hours. You will use research-based literacy interventions to help students build their reading skills.

Reading Corps provides comprehensive training in literacy strategies proven to help students learn. This position will report directly to the Internal Coach/Site Supervisor and Regional Program Manager.

Start Date: 8/28/2023

End Date: 6/15/2024

Training: There is training and online modules to complete during the first two weeks (August 28 - September 8, 2023) at the school sites.

Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Must be 18 years of age. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interest in education. Experience working with children, preferably as a literacy tutor. Speak, read, and write English fluently. Ability to make a commitment to complete a year of service. Prefer college coursework, college degree, or equivalent work experience.
