Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. Plan and schedule transportation routes, selecting appropriate carriers and modes of transport. Track shipments in real-time and provide updates to internal teams and external clients. Manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and resolve any transportation-related issues. Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and customs requirements. Prepare and maintain accurate logistics documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and invoices. Collaborate with warehouse operations to ensure seamless inbound and outbound logistics processes. Utilize logistics software and systems to optimize routing, track inventory, and manage freight costs. Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs within the Kansas City logistics operations. Resolve discrepancies and address any issues that arise during the transportation process promptly. Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a logistics coordination or transportation management role. Proven experience working within the logistics sector in Missouri or a comparable environment. Strong knowledge of transportation modes, carrier management, and international shipping regulations. Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Effective communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
