Logistics Coordinator, E-commerce Fulfillment

Our client, a rapidly growing e-commerce enterprise in **Grand Rapids, Michigan, US**, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator. This hybrid role combines on-site operational oversight with remote planning and analysis. You will play a vital role in managing the flow of goods within our warehouse and distribution network, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and timely delivery to customers. Responsibilities include coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, optimizing warehouse layout and processes, managing inventory levels, and working with carriers to negotiate rates and ensure service level agreements are met. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a knack for problem-solving in a fast-paced logistics environment. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage daily inbound and outbound logistics operations. Oversee warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency and safety. Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation. Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders. Liaise with transportation carriers to schedule shipments, track deliveries, and resolve issues. Negotiate favorable rates and terms with shipping partners. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse. Analyze logistics data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Generate reports on key logistics performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time delivery rates and order fulfillment accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and procurement. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations, preferably in e-commerce. Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and relevant software. Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Experience with transportation management and carrier relations. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing on-site supervision with remote tasks.
