Legal Advisory Council Member

Apply Now
United States | Remote | Volunteer | Part-Time Applications are now open for the inaugural membership of ATIC's Legal Advisory Chambers, the Commission's primary legal advisory architecture and the institutional backbone of the Provenance & Integrity Standard. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and attorneys. About ATIC The Aston Thomas Integrity Commission is the world's first AI forensic standards institution, authoring and maintaining the Provenance & Integrity Standard, the first forensic benchmark defining the minimum conditions required for AI systems to be lawful in origin, traceable in lineage, and defensible under legal and regulatory scrutiny. The Standard is licensed to accredited certification bodies globally, establishing the forensic benchmark against which AI systems are evaluated for litigation readiness and regulatory defensibility. About the Legal Advisory Chambers and Council The Legal Advisory Chambers are six domain-specific legal bodies advising the Commission on how developments in litigation, regulation, and legal practice should inform the evolution of the Standard. Attorneys are placed into a chamber based on their domain specialization. The most distinguished member of each chamber is appointed Chair, and those six Chairs collectively comprise the Legal Advisory Council, the Commission's highest legal advisory body per jurisdiction. Every Council seat, therefore, represents an entire chamber of domain legal expertise beneath it. The Six Chambers I. Chamber of Clinical and Health Integrity — healthcare compliance, FDA, HIPAA, medical device law, clinical AI liability. II. Chamber of Cybersecurity and Technical Integrity — cybersecurity law, data breach liability, AI system governance, vendor security. III. Chamber of Governance, Policy, and Ethics — corporate governance, regulatory compliance, AI policy, ethics, institutional accountability. IV. Chamber of Financial and Market Integrity — banking regulation, securities law, model risk management, fintech, OCC, FDIC, SEC, FINRA, anti-money laundering. V. Chamber of Education and Academic Integrity — higher education compliance, research integrity, FERPA, federal grant compliance, IRB governance. VI. Chamber of Critical Infrastructure Integrity — energy, transportation, defense sector regulation, CISA compliance, government contracting, national security. What Chamber Members Do Members advise on how developments in litigation, regulation, and legal practice within their domain should inform the Standard's evolution, flagging relevant court decisions, reviewing proposed standard language, and contributing judgment during periodic chamber deliberations. The Standard is written in litigation language. Chamber members are the legal intelligence that keeps it current, precise, and defensible. Who We Are Seeking Active or recently retired attorneys with a minimum of ten years of practice experience in their domain. Former government attorneys, in-house counsel, and regulatory specialists are strongly encouraged to apply. Substantive familiarity with AI as it intersects with your area of law is expected. This is an ultra-selective inaugural cohort. EU and UK applications will open subsequently. What You Receive Historic founding membership with public institutional recognition. Early access to ATIC research and standard updates. Co-authorship opportunities on published guidance and regulatory briefings. A peer network of senior legal professionals shaping the world's first forensic AI standard. Exceptional members will be considered for a chamber chair appointment and a seat on the Legal Advisory Council. To Apply Follow the Aston Thomas Integrity Commission on LinkedIn.
