Our client is a pioneering educational institution dedicated to advancing STEM learning and seeks an experienced and innovative Lead Curriculum Designer to develop cutting-edge educational programs. This role is pivotal in shaping the learning experiences for students, focusing on high-impact STEM subjects. You will be responsible for designing engaging, effective, and standards-aligned curricula that inspire critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This position is a fully remote opportunity, allowing you to contribute to educational excellence from anywhere. Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of comprehensive STEM curricula for various educational levels, ensuring alignment with national and state standards. Create engaging and effective learning materials, including lesson plans, activities, assessments, and digital resources. Collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and instructional designers to ensure content accuracy and pedagogical soundness. Incorporate best practices in instructional design, learning technologies, and assessment strategies into curriculum development. Develop assessment tools and strategies to measure student learning outcomes and program effectiveness. Pilot and revise curriculum based on feedback from educators, students, and evaluation data. Stay current with research and trends in STEM education, curriculum design, and educational technology. Manage curriculum development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Provide guidance and training to other curriculum developers and educators on effective teaching methodologies. Champion the integration of inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, and other student-centered approaches. Qualifications: Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, STEM Education, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in curriculum design and development, with a strong focus on STEM subjects. Demonstrated expertise in instructional design principles and adult learning theories. Experience developing engaging and interactive learning materials, including digital content. Strong understanding of educational standards and assessment design. Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and curriculum development software. Experience in leading curriculum development projects and mentoring junior designers is a plus. A passion for education and a commitment to improving STEM learning outcomes for all students.
