Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of advanced computer vision algorithms for perception, object detection, tracking, and scene understanding in autonomous systems. Oversee the integration of computer vision modules with other sensor modalities (e.g., LiDAR, RADAR, IMU) for robust sensor fusion. Develop and optimize real-time vision pipelines for embedded systems, ensuring high performance and low latency. Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to define sensor requirements and test specifications. Manage a team of computer vision engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback in a remote setting. Conduct thorough testing and validation of algorithms, using both simulated and real-world data. Stay updated on the latest research and industry trends in computer vision, deep learning, and autonomous systems. Contribute to the overall system architecture and ensure the scalability and reliability of the computer vision components. Requirements Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, with a specialization in computer vision or machine learning. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in computer vision, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior technical role. Demonstrated expertise in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and experience with frameworks like OpenCV. Proficiency in C++ and Python, with a strong understanding of software engineering best practices. Experience with object detection algorithms (e.g., YOLO, SSD, Faster R-CNN) and tracking techniques. Familiarity with sensor fusion techniques and experience with datasets relevant to autonomous driving (e.g., KITTI, nuScenes). Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex software development projects in a remote, remote-first context. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug intricate issues in distributed systems.
