About the Firm The Law Firm of Earl P. White is a New Jersey-based real estate law firm representing landlords, investors, and property owners. Our landlord–tenant practice is high-volume, fast-paced, and systems-driven, requiring precision, speed, and strong technical ability. Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Landlord–Tenant Paralegal / Legal Assistant with hands-on New Jersey eviction experience who can contribute immediately from Day 1. This is not an entry-level role. The ideal candidate is extremely tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and capable of independently handling core eviction tasks without training. Key Responsibilities • Prepare eviction complaints (NJ) accurately and efficiently • Handle e-filing of complaints and court documents without supervision • Draft notices to cease and notices to quit • Manage and maintain the landlord–tenant court calendar • Track deadlines, filings, and case progress across multiple matters • Support the managing attorney in a high-volume eviction practice Required Qualifications (Absolutely Non-Negotiable) • 3+ years of landlord–tenant experience • Direct experience with New Jersey eviction procedures and filings • Ability to prepare and e-file eviction complaints on Day 1 • Extremely tech-savvy (comfortable learning and using systems quickly) • Fast, accurate typing and strong attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment Technology Requirements This is a technology-driven role. Candidates must be highly proficient with computers and software. • Must be comfortable with cloud-based systems, document automation, and e-filing platforms • Typing and technology proficiency test required as part of the hiring process • Preferred (not required): Experience with Clio or similar case management systems Compensation & Structure • $35.00/hour • Part-time: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM • Hybrid: Primarily remote, with 1 in-office day per week Trial Period • Initial 2-week trial period (part-time) • Candidate will use their own laptop for trial periods • Opportunity to transition into a long-term / full-time role based on performance What Success Looks Like • Complaints are prepared and filed accurately and without delay • Court calendar is organized and proactively managed • Minimal oversight required from the attorney • Deadlines are never missed Our Core Values • Synergy – We collaborate across practice areas to serve our Clients • Skill – We prioritize precision and excellence • Accountability – We track performance and expect results • Growth – We invest in long-term success for both the firm and our team Important Note This role requires someone who can hit the ground running immediately. Candidates without direct New Jersey eviction experience and strong technical ability will not be a fit.
