Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior Cloud Engineer to support the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-based infrastructure and services. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in cloud computing while working alongside experienced engineers to support scalable, secure, and reliable cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services.
• Monitor cloud environments to ensure availability, performance, and security.
• Support cloud migration, implementation, and optimization projects.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application-related issues.
• Assist with cloud resource provisioning and configuration management.
• Implement security best practices and support compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and IT teams to support cloud initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in cloud computing, IT infrastructure, system administration, or a related technical role.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of operating systems including Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewalls.
• Understanding of virtualization and cloud computing fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP through internships, projects, or certifications.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Understanding of containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, or similar certifications are a plus.
