Mercor is seeking native Japanese speakers who live in Japan for a short-term project with a leading AI lab. These candidates should have excellent written and verbal Japanese skills as well as intimate familiarity with Japanese culture.
This role begins as early as August 10.
Role Responsibilities
• Synthesize personal expertise to write documentation to help train AI models.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to refine documentation and perfect write-ups.
• Identify domain-specific local language and cultural nuances of different hobbies and day-to-day life.
• Provide linguistic or culturally relevant insights that help improve model behavior in Japanese contexts.
Ideal Candidates Should Have:
• Native-Level Proficiency: Fluent in Japanese and strong English comprehension.
• Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
• Analytical Abilities: Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Nice to Haves
• Experience with grading, instructional design, or rubric development is a plus.
• Familiarity with generative AI models or machine learning concepts is a bonus, but not required.
