ROLE OVERVIEW The Cloud Systems Integration Engineer supports mergers and acquisitions by planning and executing cloud and identity integrations across Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and M365 environments. This role is responsible for migrating systems, data, and user accounts, ensuring secure, reliable, and timely transitions with minimal business disruption. Working independently and with cross-functional partners, the Cloud Engineer assesses source environments, designs and executes phased migrations, and optimizes the target environment post-integration. Occasional travel and after-hours work may be required to support critical migration timelines. COMPENSATION: $90,000 - $110,000/annually in addition to a competitive bonus plan RESPONSIBILITIES Migrating a company's infrastructure, applications, and data to the cloud is a core responsibility, often using cloud-based services to manage and integrate IT environments. Manage the technical aspects of the integration process, such as data migration, system consolidation, and infrastructure deployment, to deliver on project goals. Connecting and harmonizing the cloud and on-premises systems of the merging or acquiring companies. Comfortable working independently to do the heavy lift of M&A data migrations from various systems to M365 / Entra ID Audit existing environments to understand user accounts, data, permissions, and applications in both tenants. Creating a detailed plan for data mapping and user onboarding, and executing the migration in phases to minimize downtime and ensure alignment with the overall M&A timeline Clean up data and streamline resources to simplify the migration process and improve the new environment’s performance Migrate data and user mailboxes, email addresses, and other resources from the source tenant to the target tenant. Perform the technical migration, which can be phased or run in waves to minimize disruption Monitor the new environment to ensure everything is working correctly and to identify any further optimization opportunities SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Associate’s degree in IT or Computer Science plus 4 years of directly relevant experience or High School diploma with 6 years of directly relevant experience. 2+ years of experience executing M&A integrations in a corporate or consulting cloud environment. Strong analytical skills to solve complex engineering challenges. Excellent communication and organizational skills with a high degree of on-time technical execution Significant experience demonstrating firsthand, independent technical proficiency in M&A integrations Sold foundation using M&A specific toolsets for M365 migrations such as BitTitan, ShareGate, or CoreView Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and M365 suite of applications PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
