In-House Litigation Attorney (Engagement)

Latitude is seeking an experienced litigator for a part-time remote position, handling various commercial matters and managing outside counsel for the company. Trial experience is desired, as well as significant hands-on experience with discovery, complex motions, and strategies to resolve matters at an efficient pace and cost basis. Texas Bar required. Basic Requirements for the In-House Litigation Counsel: • 5 or more years handling complex commercial litigation matters in State and Federal Court in the state of Texas • Experience coordinating and managing outside counsel and other risk management best practices • Top-tier firm and prior in-house litigation experience needed • Active license to practice law in the state of Texas Position Details of the In-House Litigation Counsel: • Type of Role: • Schedule: approximately 20 hours per week, some as needed • Location: Remote Compensation: Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $180,000 to $220,000 or more when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate's preference (each candidate's pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate's competitiveness for the position). Benefits: Latitude contract professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week. Benefits-eligible Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D. A qualified 401(k) plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
